ROCKFORD, Ill. — Two members of the Rockford Fire Department were injured when the ambulance they were riding in was struck by a vehicle and flipped on its side.
A tweet from the Rockford Fire Department said two fire personnel who sustained minor injuries and the driver of the vehicle that hit the rig were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
The social post also notes the ambulance was responding to an incident with lights and sirens on when it was hit by the vehicle.
