Mom loses keys, lies to 911 that baby is locked in car

Responders have been called to her house multiple times in the past, and she was charged with misusing 911

DENVER, Colo. — A Denver woman called 911 for help and got ticketed herself when police realized she only needed a locksmith.

Erica Lyle called police on Monday morning, telling the 911 dispatcher that she “locked her baby in the car and is unable to find her keys.”

Two police officers and a fire truck arrived at the apartment in minutes, but found the car, but no baby inside.
