Catherine R. Counts, PHD, MHA, is a health services researcher with Seattle Medic One in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She received both her PhD and MHA from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Counts has research interests in domestic healthcare policy, quality, patient safety, organizational theory and culture, and pre-hospital emergency medicine. She is a member of the National Association of EMS Physicians and AcademyHealth. In her free time she trains Bruno, her USAR canine.

Danielle Cortes DeVito A.A.S. NREMT-P is a paramedic and has been featured on Access Hollywood, CNN, Fox news during her 20 years experience in emergency Medical services. She was the youngest Emergency Room Tech to work at Cook County Hospital’s ER , one of the busiest ER in the US. Moving on she worked at the Chicago Fire Department awarded the outstanding candidate award and the community commitment award. Danielle had the privilege to be on the Bike and Segway response paramedic team for George W. Bush and the Dalia Lama. Danielle is the national spokesperson for American Heart Association’s “Hands Only” CPR campaign. She is a member of the National Society of Safety Engineers and serves on Illinois and stroke advocacy committees. She is also a Hazmat tech and Lead EMS instructor. Dave is a New York City based EMS provider working in the field since 1994. He has worked in the private sector, as a 911 provider, and as a volunteer. Since 2005 he has been involved in Social Media aspects through the current major services as well as some defunct ones. He blogs about EMS, Social Media, and Event Medical Services at TheSocialMedic.net and maintains DavidKonig.com for other writings including updates on the books he authors.

Gordon Graham has been actively involved in law enforcement since 1973. He spent nearly 10 years as a very active motorcycle officer while also attending Cal State Long Beach to achieve his teaching credential, USC to do his graduate work in Safety and Systems Management with an emphasis on Risk Management, and Western State University to obtain his law degree. In 1982 he was promoted to sergeant and also admitted to the California State Bar and immediately opened his law offices in Los Angeles.
