Russian paramedics attacked by kickboxers

Kickboxers started a fight, lost and then attacked the medics called to help them

MOSCOW — Russian kickboxers were arrested after picking a fight and subsequently assaulting the paramedics who came to treat their injuries.

The kickboxing coach and his student initiated a fight outside a Moscow shop, where they were beaten up by the bystanders they tried assaulting.

The incident was captured on CCTV cameras inside and outside the store.

A shop assistant told the UK Mirror that the men were allegedly intoxicated when they entered the store to purchase alcohol.

Store workers called an ambulance after the pair lost the fight, whose crew was then assaulted by the kickboxers, reported.

“I got kicked in my face and head a few times,” one paramedic said. “Doctor’s had to put stitches in my nose, and I also suffered a concussion. My general condition is not great.”

The two boxers were charged and face up to two years in prison for assault and “hooliganism.”

“Even if I did something, I don’t remember it. It must have been an accident,” the coach told police.
