SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Saratoga Springs Firefighters got a call Monday morning for a woman in labor on the way to their station. But this baby wasn’t waiting for a hospital, firefighters had to deliver the baby on their own doorstep.
The Lake Avenue station was just one hour into their 24-hour shift when a call came in for a woman in labor, the woman, headed their way.
Firefighter-Paramedic Joseph Dolan says, “Captain called everyone downstairs, some slid down the pole, some down the stairs, we grabbed our gear and there she was, ready to have a baby.”
