RESCUE 1 Celebrates the final delivery of 13 USAR’s to the New Jersey State Task Force 1

MANASQUAN, NJ - RESCUE 1 is pleased to announce the
celebration of the last of the 13 Urban Search and Rescue vehicles
delivered to the New Jersey State Task Force 1. This event was held at
the RESCUE 1 factory and was attended by Kevin Morrissey and Bob
Hannson from NJ-TF 1 for a celebration ceremony and pizza lunch for the entire staff.

These USAR vehicles will be utilized by nine North Jersey Fire
Departments as well as UMDNJ and the New Jersey Task Force in
Lakehurst. The Fire Departments who participated in this program are:
Bayonne Fire Department, Elizabeth Fire Dept, Hackensack Fire Dept,
Hoboken Fire Dept, Jersey City Fire Dept, Morristown Fire Dept, Newark
Fire Dept, North Hudson Regional Fire/Rescue and Paterson Fire Dept.
UMDNJ has received three (3) Mass Care USAR Units.

A Spartan Advantage Chassis supports each 22'4" Walk Around Heavy
Rescue Body. The 330 HP Cummins ISC engine and Allison 3000
transmission provide power to the 35 KW Onan PTO generators. Robinson
roll up doors offer clear access to the exterior compartments designed
for the specialized equipment to be used by the Task Force/USAR.

“The quality of these 13 USAR vehicles built by RESCUE 1 has exceeded
our expectations. The ease of working with a local manufacturer has
allowed for us to complete this project on time. A project of this
magnitude could not have been successfully completed anywhere else but here in New Jersey.
Working with nine different USAR departments and a local NJ
manufacturer provided opportunities to meet face-to-face instead of
over the phone and allowed us to speak directly to the company and the
engineers on any project issues - all of which saved time and
alleviated any potential issues.” said Kevin Morrissey, Senior Planner for the NJ-TF 1/OEM.

“We are honored to have been chosen by the NJ-TF 1 to build 13 USAR’s
for the State of NJ. We are excited about the completion of this
project and how well each USAR vehicle has been received by all 9 departments.
Although this is the end of this initial contract with NJ-TF 1, we
value the relationships that have evolved during the process. This
project with NJ-TF 1 started as Our Customers, but it has been
completed as Our Friends,” said Michael Marquis, Vice President of RESCUE 1 Sales.

RESCUE 1 is extremely proud of this project and the opportunity to
participate in NJ’s Homeland Security Program - partnering to further
protect the citizens of NJ. Contact RESCUE 1 at 800-752-8786 to see
