WHAT: HFD will wrap-up National Emergency Medical Services Week with a health-fair open to the public. There will be free screenings and goodies for citizens.

DETAILS: The participating entities include:
American Red Cross will bring a Red Cross Transportation bus and distribute information about the agency’s Transportation Services, Disaster Services, and Health & Safety Services.
Gulf Coast Community Services Association will provide information about the Head Start program.
Harris County Hospital District will provide free cholesterol screenings for 50 individuals on a first come first serve basis.
Houston Community College EMS students will provide blood pressure tests.
St. Luke’s Center for Liver Disease nurses will provide tests for Hepatitis C; patient confidentiality is assured.
South Central Houston Community Health Center will provide screenings including for diabetes and blood pressure.
South Central Family YMCA, will provide information about programs offered for youth and adults, including sports, after school, Summer Day Camp, enrichment, health and fitness, mentoring, and outreach.
HFD Juvenile FireStoppers will provide activities for children.
M.D. Anderson Hospital will provide literature and information
The Blue Cross Blue Shield Care Van will provide free childhood immunizations.
HFD Captain will give a free fitness boxercise class.
