Globe Celebrates 125th Anniversary by Giving 125 Sets of Gear to Volunteer Departments

Globe has reached a milestone and is celebrating by giving
back to fire departments in need. In honor of the company’s 125th
anniversary, Globe has partnered with Dupont and the National Volunteer Fire
Council (NVFC) to donate 125 sets of gear in 2012 to deserving fire
departments.

Through this donation program, all-volunteer fire departments that serve a population of
25,000 or less and are in need of new gear can apply to receive up to 12 sets
of Globe gear. Applications must be received by May 31, 2012, and awards will
be announced monthly between July and December.“

All of us owe a huge debt of thanks to the volunteers who are the frontline of firefighting in
communities across the country,” said Rob Freese, Globe Manufacturing Senior VP
of Marketing, in making the announcement. “Working with these departments is
incredibly gratifying, and we’re so glad to be able to take this opportunity to
improve the safety and performance of some of these volunteer fire departments
with limited resources by providing their members with the most advanced
turnout gear.”

“We are very pleased to partner with Globe and Dupont for this incredible gear donation
program,” said NVFC Chairman Philip C. Stittleburg. “Globe is an extraordinary
example of a company saying thank you to its customers by giving back. So many
volunteer fire departments are struggling to provide adequate gear for their
members because of financial constraints. Globe’s donation will go far to help
these departments make sure their firefighters are ready when the call comes
in.”
