LINWOOD, Mich. — Michelle Williams has a new addition to her Linwood home, bearing the name of the paramedic who brought her into this world.
Williams, 32, gave birth to Leeya Rezler at 11:13 a.m. May 20 in the back of a Bay Medical ambulance in the parking lot of Mobile Medical Response, 4052 N. Euclid in Bay City. Leeya is Williams’s fourth child, in addition to Shea Kindel, 12; Cole Rezler, 5; and Stevie Rezler, 2.
“I was on my way to Saginaw (to deliver) with my sister-in-law driving,” Williams said. Along the way, Williams told her sister-in-law, Julie Rezler, that the baby wasn’t going to wait. Detouring toward Bay Regional Medical Center, 1900 Columbus, Williams told Rezler even that location was not close enough.
