Injured UK paramedic turns inspirational author

UTTOXETER, U.K. — A paramedic who lost an eye after yobs attacked his ambulance has put pen to paper to tell of his long battle to rebuild his life.

Nick Horobin, of Copes Way, Uttoxeter, has released his autobiography, A Stone’s Throw Away, which reveals how he became a victim after many years driving an ambulance and treating others.

The 38-year-old, who started writing the book five years ago, said: “I never really thought I was going to publish it.
