PITTSBURGH, PA –Ten plus years into her career and working with a variety of EMS agencies in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania & beyond, Kate Lambert has never lost sight of why she was driven to become a paramedic. For love and caring of others, regardless of their situation or where life has led them, her hallmark is the compassion and empathy that she exhibits whether taking care of a patient or worrying about her peers’ well-being.
Paramedic, Prehospital Care Coordinator, and student are all titles currently used by Kate Lambert. Whether making a connection with a single Alzheimer’s patient by connecting through music played on her smartphone or being concerned about the health and life style of her peers, she demonstrates her compassion for others each and every day.
Being passionate about the well-being of the EMS community, Kate has been the driving force behind the Highmark Foundation and Allegheny Health Network’s Mission Wellness program specifically designed for her fellow EMS providers. Enrolling over 350 EMS providers from across ALL of western Pennsylvania, there are already numerous success stories of our EMS partners improving their health through the program.

For all her tireless work and commitment to the health and wellness of emergency medical services personnel, Kate received the prestigious EMS Champion Award from the Allegheny County EMS Council on June 9, 2016. The award recognizes individuals who make a difference in the EMS community each and every day.
Kate currently holds a BS in Public Administration from Point Park University and is enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh where she is completing her Master’s in Public Policy.
