GREENVILLE, N.C. — A veteran emergency medical specialist has been accused of taking drugs from Greenville and Winterville emergency squads.
Christopher Michael West, 30, 6000 Old Tar Road, Winterville, was arrested Sept. 21 on four counts of embezzlement of a controlled substance, said Jennifer Canada, State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman.
West is a former EMT-Paramedic with Greenville Fire-Rescue and Winterville Rescue Squad. Canada said West is accused of diverting morphine, fentanyl and midizolam from both organizations.
