Woman hits EMTs with car, flees the scene

Tracy Thompson is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault and driving under the influence of a controlled substance

BATH, Pa. — A woman was arrested after striking two EMTs with her car and fleeing the scene.

Lehigh Valley Live reported that the EMTs were sent to the Klecknersville Fire Company parking lot to help Tracy Thompson, who was seated in her car.

The EMTs said they told Thompson they were going to call the police after she appeared to be under the influence of marijuana and was “acting out.”

Thompson said “F--- that” and left in her car, striking the EMTs, according to police.

Police said they spotted Thompson in a residential driveway, where she backed out and struck a patrol cruiser.

Multiple medications were found in Thompson’s purse, and a blood test showed traces of THC in Thompson’s system.

Thompson faces two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated assault by a vehicle, two counts of attempted single assault, four counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and two traffic violations.
