Paramedics deliver baby after mother is killed in crossbow attack
Paramedics performed an emergency caesarean section to save Sana Muhammad’s baby after she was attacked with a crossbow in her kitchen
LONDON — Paramedics delivered a baby after his mother was killed in a crossbow attack.
The Telegraph reported that a paramedic crew performed an emergency caesarean to save Sana Muhammad’s baby after she was struck by a crossbow bolt, which reportedly missed the baby by inches.
The baby was successfully delivered by the crew, but is in critical condition at the hospital.
Muhammad’s husband, Imtiaz, said he found the alleged attacker hiding in their garden when he “went to put a cardboard box in the shed.”
"He was there with the crossbow loaded. He stared at me, he was going to shoot so I ran into the house,” Imtiaz said. "My wife was doing the washing up, I was shouting, ‘Run, run, run.’ He shot her. I can't help thinking she took my arrow. The kids were all there, it was horrific."
Ramanodge Unmathallegadoo was arrested for the attack and charged with murder.
