ENFIELD, Conn. — Residents treated on town ambulances by American Medical Response paramedics are being billed by both the company and the town, according to town officials. Several Town Council members expressed concern about the matter at a meeting Tuesday.
“There should not be double billing,” District 2 Councilman William “Red” Edgar said.
AMR, a private ambulance service provider, has a state license to provide advanced life support services in town. It is the primary responder at emergency calls requiring paramedic service.
