FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Everyone gathered in a courtroom agreed a Fond du Lac man who spit in the eye of a police officer and head-butted a paramedic belongs behind bars.
Even 28-year-old defendant John V. Thrasher said prison is the only place where he can deal with alcohol and drug issues.
When Circuit Court Judge Dale English ordered Thrasher to serve three years and nine months in prison followed by three years of extended supervision, Thrasher said he respected English’s decision and calmly left the courtroom.
