WASHINGTON — A train pulling cars in the rail yard at 2nd Street NE, collided with a MARC train, causing a MARC car to derail, MARC officials tell 9NEWS NOW.

There weren’t any passengers on the MARC train, officials said.

Three Amtrak employees and two occupants of the private rail-car received minor injuries, according to an Amtrak news release.

Trains have gone back in service, with heavy delays, MARC officials said.
