NH ambulance catches fire en route to the hospital

Officials said the ambulance was transporting a patient when a reported mechanical issue caused the rig to go up in flames

EXETER, N.H. — An ambulance that was transporting a patient caught fire Sunday, according to officials.

A reported mechanical issue caused the ambulance to catch fire while on its way to a hospital with a patient onboard, according to WMUR.

Responders said the rig was up in flames when they arrived.

No one was injured in the fire, and the patient was transferred to another ambulance to be transported to the hospital.
