WILMINGTON, N.C. — Police in North Carolina are looking for a driver of a pickup truck that was involved in a hit-and-run with an ambulance Sunday.
WWAYTV3.com reported the New Hanover Health Care ambulance was transporting a patient to the hospital when the truck struck the ambulance at an intersection and drove away.
Based on debris at the scene and reports from witnesses, investigators believe the truck had a camper shell and a ladder rack. It had red lettering on the side and police think it’s used for construction. The truck should have damage to its front side and front right grill.
