TRUCKEE, Calif. — As several vehicle crashes on snow-covered roads caused a Calif. highway to close, an ambulance on its way to a patient was also struck.

The California Highway Patrol (CHS) said a driver that failed to look for emergency vehicles crashed into a rig that had a medic and a firefighter inside, as reported by CBS13.

“Well this isn’t helping anything,” CHS wrote on Facebook.

No one was injured in the Tuesday collision, which is now under investigation.

An incoming “bomb cyclone” is expected to drop more snow on the west coast in the next few days.
