ST. PETERSBURG — Authorities released video Wednesday of Monday’s high-speed chase that began in Gulfport but ended in a crash in St. Petersburg. The footage from police cruiser dashboard cameras, shows that less than a mile of the pursuit of a stolen Toyota Venza was in Gulfport.
After that, Gulfport police pursued the car at high speeds through St. Petersburg streets. The 14-minute chase ended in the Jordan Park neighborhood when the car T-boned a PSTA bus. The bus then slid into an apartment building.
Two men in the stolen car were injured but an unrestrained baby in the back seat was unharmed. Several bus riders were treated by paramedics.
