DETROIT — Morale within Detroit's EMS Division is on life support after about half of the department's medics got a shock on pay day when they discovered the money they earned wasn't' there.
They are the men and women on Detroit's front lines, rushing to the aid of the sick and saving lives.
Most of them do it for little pay, earning around $14.00 an hour and living paycheck to paycheck.
