iTraumaCare Names James V. Ferrara Vice President of North American Sales

San Antonio, TX - iTraumaCare, an early-stage medical device firm focused on developing traumatic injury solutions for first responder and military medicine applications, has hired James V. Ferrara as its Vice President of North American Sales. In this role, Mr. Ferrara will oversee and manage the specialty distributor based sales network that the company is building as it commercially launches its first product, the iTClampTM Hemorrhage Control System, in the US and Canada.

Ferrara brings over two decades of experience in medical device sales, particularly in the realm of first response medicine, to iTraumaCare. His strength in establishing and developing sales networks has been proven multiple times in his respected career, including most recently in his position with Vidacare Corporation, and previously with Spire Biomedical, Encision, Inc., and Arrow Medical Supply. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University.

The iTClamp is designed to control severe bleeding – a leading cause of death in traumatic injury – in seconds. The iTClamp seals the edges of a wound closed to create a temporary pool of blood under pressure, which forms a stable clot that mitigates further blood loss until the wound can be surgically repaired. It is available in the US, European Union and Canada.

iTraumaCare’s CEO and founder, Dr. Dennis Filips, said, “Jim brings a wealth of experience and a network of trusted relationships that will benefit iTraumaCare as we commercialize the iTClamp.”
