Ky. EMTs hold axe-wielding attacker at gunpoint

CARTER COUNTY, Ky. — A Kentucky woman has been arrested after using an axe to attack a man and then break into a Carter County EMS station on Nov. 24.

Kellie Boggs from Grayson, Kentucky, is charged with assault and criminal mischief after using an axe to shatter a glass door at the EMS station and entering while EMS personnel were sleeping, WSAZ reported.

The man Boggs attacked was found in a ditch behind the station with serious injuries to his face.

WDRB reported that EMTs held Boggs at gunpoint until police arrived.

Boggs is being held in the Carter County Detention Center.
