METHUEN, Mass. — A Methuen firefighter is facing criminal charges for leaving the scene of a car accident that injured three people, including a pregnant woman.
Police say Brett Paolantonio, 28, of Methuen then tried to cover it up by claiming the pickup truck he was driving was stolen.
Paolantonio, who is also a certified EMT, pleaded not guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, filing a fake motor vehicle theft report and reporting a false crime in Lawrence District Court last week.
