Security footage captured a suspect dragging the dispatcher after she got off a bus

DETROIT — A 48-year-old dispatcher was attacked and robbed while on her way to work Tuesday evening.

The dispatcher, who did not want to be identified, said four teenage boys stole her cellphone and other items. Security footage captured a suspect dragging the dispatcher after she got off a bus around 11 p.m., reported ABC7. The dispatcher said she was attacked just before swiping into the call center.

"We need to have somebody out at the security booth, at least for the night shift especially,” the dispatcher said. “Cause I think if someone was at the booth, it probably would have never happened like that."

Police are investigating the incident; they said all four suspects have been identified.
