Paramedic hurt in hit-and-run while tending to patient

CALGARY, Canada — A paramedic was injured Tuesday night in a hit-and-run while tending to a patient, according to officials.
660 News reported that an EMS crew was loading a patient into an ambulance when a vehicle struck one of the paramedics, police said.
According to CBC, police said the driver had been asked by the EMS crew to wait until the patient was loaded into the ambulance, but he began arguing with a paramedic and then struck him with his vehicle.
The paramedic was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police said the driver fled the scene, but was eventually arrested after the vehicle was found parked in a driveway down the street. He was charged with a hit and run.
