Police: EMT fell asleep at the wheel in ambulance crash
She woke up as the ambulance was going off the road, hit a light pole and crashed down an embankment
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An EMT involved in an ambulance crash fell asleep while driving, police say.
EMT Jackllin Davis was cited for failure to maintain proper control following a crash on I-40 around 4:45 a.m. Friday, News 3 reports.
Police say she woke up as she was going off the road. The ambulance hit a light pole, went down an embankment and stopped when it hit a line of trees.
