BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — A funeral will be held Thursday for a firefighter-EMT who was found fatally shot at his home.
ABC2 News reported that family and friends will gather to honor Jon Hickey, who died Nov. 30 after being fatally shot. Ex-firefighter Daniel Greene was arrested and charged with the murder of Hickey, and police said the motive was “domestic-related.”
“For lack of better words, it was part of a triangle. Unfortunately, Mr. Hickey, in this case, was new to the party and unfortunately, he lost his life as a result," Baltimore City Police Detective Donny Moses said.
Greene’s Facebook page revealed that Hickey was dating Greene’s ex-girlfriend. Greene was an ex-firefighter of Prince George’s County Fire Department.
Hickey was a volunteer firefighter and was a new trainee for the Baltimore City Fire Department.
