HOUSTON — Five people, including two EMTs, were injured in a three-vehicle crash after a suspected drunk driver slammed into an ambulance.

The Houston Fire Department ambulance was responding to a crash in the northbound lanes of the 610 West Loop when a driver slammed into the back of the emergency vehicle, click2houston.com reports. The ambulance was then was pushed into a SUV that was driving by.

The crash occurred around 2:50 a.m. Sunday

Two EMTs in the ambulance, two people in the truck and one person in the SUV were transported to the hospital.
