Patient: Gashed scrotum due to EMS negligence

A diabetic man using a wheelchair alleges he suffered injuries while being transported to the hospital because of providers’ negligence

LOGAN, W.V. — A man has sued a Logan County ambulance company and two EMS providers for failing to assist him, ultimately causing him harm from scrotum injuries.

The man is diabetic and uses a wheelchair. He alleges that the two responders didn’t help him move from his wheelchair to a gurney while being transported to the hospital, causing him to fall and suffer two large gashes on his scrotum.

The man is demanding unspecified damages and costs, the West Virginia Record reported.
