Each year, ESO releases the EMS Index and Mid-Year Update. The 2021 ESO EMS Index: Mid-Year Update is based on data captured in ESO Electronic Health Record (EHR) from more than 2,000 agencies and departments across the country and represents 4.6 million 911 calls (out of 5.6 million total calls) between January 1, 2021 – June 30, 2021.

During this webinar, Remle Crowe, PhD, NREMT, Antonio Fernandez, PhD, NRP, and Brent Myers, MD, MPH will discuss their findings in the 2021 ESO EMS Index: Mid-Year Update. Not only will they speak to the data collected, but with each metric they give recommendations for EMS agencies and fire departments looking to improve their performance and service.

Some of the metrics to be discussed include:

  • Documented Stroke Assessment Completion Rate
  • Ketamine Administration with Patient Weight Recorded
  • COVID-19 and ILI Impressions
  • Bystander CPR
