LAS VEGAS — A big holiday weekend here in the valley, with President’s Day, the Chinese New Year and a big fight drawing in crowds. But big weekends also mean more medical emergencies on the Strip. Add to that a shortage of paramedics and first responders are strapped for personnel.
Officials says its a nation wide shortages of paramedics. But that shortage hits Las Vegas hard because of the thousands tourist that pack into the city every weekend.
It puts a strain on emergency responders, and in the city that never sleeps, that means local paramedics wont get much rest.
