1. Where did your company name originate from?
Wheeled Coach was first established in downtown Orlando, Florida.
2. What is your signature product and how does it work?
Wheeled Coach designs and manufactures a broad range of customizable Type I, Type II, Type III and medium-duty ambulances.
3. Why do you believe your products are essential to the EMS community?
Wheeled Coach provides commercial and municipal EMS organizations with highly functional, safe and durable ambulances to enable their work.
4. What has been the biggest challenge your company has faced?
2020 has been a very challenging year for the entire industry. The Wheeled Coach team worked tirelessly to maintain production levels, while also ensuring the safety of our production staff. We worked closely with the Wheeled Coach dealer network to find ways to conduct demos and vehicle inspections in a way that kept our staff, dealers and customers safe.
5. What makes your company unique?
Wheeled Coach is known for several defining features, including our Safeguard Box Frame, a highly reinforced but lightweight superstructure. The Safeguard Box Frame, paired with our Trueform wall construction, creates one of the strongest, safest and most durable ambulance bodies in the industry. Wheeled Coach also offers the patented Cool-Bar technology, an externally mounted condenser that improves airflow, accessibility and improved flexible lighting.

Our customers comment on the durability of Wheeled Coach ambulances. Our vehicles are born to perform under the most demanding conditions.
7. What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder community?
One of the most rewarding parts of serving the first responder community is knowing that EMS providers trust our product to protect their crews. You never know who will be transported in one of your vehicles — it could be a family member or a friend — and they have to be safe. It is also great to be driving down the street and see a Wheeled Coach — it brings a sense of pride for what we do!
8. Is there any fun fact or trivia that you'd like to share about your brand?
2020 marked the 45th anniversary of Wheeled Coach! Wheeled Coach was the first ambulance manufacturer to do crash testing, and also the first and leading manufacturer to be ISO 9011-2015 certified.
9. What's next for your brand? Any upcoming new projects or initiatives?
We are continuing to update and refine our ambulances to better meet the needs of the industry. Stay tuned!
