LOCATION: YUBA CITY, CA (NORTHERN CA)
1st 5 to apply: **$15,000 Bonus for Full-Time Employees**
**Additional $5,000 relocation bonus after completion of onboarding training process**
Pay: $73,800.00 - $98,700.00 per year.
As the sole 911 ambulance provider for Yuba & Sutter counties, Bi-County Ambulance is looking for paramedics to help provide the best care for the community. We are looking for paramedics to be part of our team of healthcare professionals attending to primarily out-of-hospital medical incidents. The job isn’t simple but it is very rewarding. As an employee dealing mostly with emergencies you must be committed and focused. Experience is preferred but not required. We have a long history of working with those new to emergency medicine and will provide you with a great learning environment.

- Education: NREMT and CA State Paramedic License

Responsibilities
- Operate ambulance, equipment, and respond to 911 emergency calls
- Lead and coordinate the team responding to an emergency
- Evaluate the patient’s condition on the scene and perform a preliminary diagnosis
- Attend to injuries or sudden illnesses by applying a variety of pre-hospital simple and advanced treatments (first aid, CPR, administering injections and oxygen, etc.)
- Use equipment and tools to stabilize patients or provide immediate treatment
- Monitor the patient’s condition en route to the hospital
- Collaborate with interested parties (police, firefighters, doctors, etc.)
- Write and submit concrete and accurate reports on incidents
- Adhere to established medical protocols and procedures as well as legal guidelines and health and safety standards
- Keep abreast with new treatments and medical procedures through continuous training
Skills
- Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, and medications
- Ability to stay calm and make the right decisions in adverse conditions
- Adaptable to evolving situations
- Excellent working knowledge of medical equipment and devices
- Integrity and compassion toward human pain
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Valid state driver’s license
- Valid Ambulance Driver's license
- Certified CPR (BLS provider level)
- ACLS (required)
- PALS (required)
- CA Paramedic license (required/or in the process of obtaining)
- Sierra Sacramento Valley EMS accreditation(required/or in the process of obtaining)
