MADISON, Wis. — Two newborn babies were safely born with the help of four paramedics and eight EMTs from the Madison Fire Department over the course of 12 hours.

Channel3000 reported that a pregnant woman pulled off to the side of the road on Thursday night as she was heading to the hospital while in labor, and realized she wasn’t going to make it.

First responders from Medic 3 and Engine Company 5 arrived at 9:26 p.m., and within four minutes, a healthy baby girl was delivered. Both the baby and mother were transported to the hospital.

On Friday morning, a couple heading to the hospital realized they weren’t going to make it in time, either, and pulled over to call for help. As first responders from Medic 10 and Ladder Company 8 arrived, the woman shouted, “It’s coming!”

Within minutes, a newborn boy was born, and was transported to the hospital with his parents.
