The largest update ever of NREMT’s recertification system includes an expanded dashboard and the ability to affiliate with multiple agencies

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians launched the largest update ever of their recertification system.

New features in Recert 2.0 include an expanded certification dashboard and the ability for EMS personnel to affiliate with multiple EMS agencies.

The EMS Education Transcript was also introduced, which is a tool used for tracking, storing and managing education.

"Emergency Medical Services is a rapidly-evolving profession, and a provider’s ability to always provide safe and competent care in the out-of-hospital setting often depends on robust continuing education," NREMT Interim Executive Director Drew Dawson said. "Recert 2.0 was developed with the importance of career-long development and learning in mind."

Courses added into the EMS Education Transcript can be easily mapped to a provider’s NREMT recertification application.

"It is our hope that Recert 2.0 will become an invaluable tool for EMS professionals both during their NREMT recertification periods and on every other day of their career," NREMT Chief Information Officer Donnie Woodyard said.

All Recert 2.0 features are free of charge and available immediately.
