GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. — A 21-year-old Michigan EMT was killed in an off-duty vehicle crash Friday.
Medstar Ambulance EMT James Bloss died early yesterday morning, the service said in a Facebook post.
“As we hold each other up during difficult times, the strength of our bond is demonstrated and the value of our team takes on new meaning,” the post said. “Our team works with tragedy every day, but when it hits us, it does so with a particular vengeance.”
Bloss was “a very compassionate and caring person” and “a caretaker even at a young age,” according to his obituary. He is survived by his parents, stepparents, grandparents and five siblings.
Medstar wrote on Facebook that grief counselors will be on-site to support personnel.
