JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department truck was knocked on its side during a Tuesday-morning crash at Edgewood Avenue West and New Kings Road, according to news partner First Coast News.

But the firefighter-paramedics on board did not appear to be injured, fire officials told First Coast News.

The crash occurred about 10:30 a.m. as the rescue unit headed to a call, fire officials said. The impact with another truck shoved the rescue unit onto its.

Since the rescue unit had not gotten to its assigned call, no patient was on board. Both paramedics were taken to a hospital as a precaution, fire officials said.
