KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hull (Mass.) paramedic/firefighter David Cavanagh made it past the qualifying round of the TV show “American Ninja Warrior”.
The 29-year-old Weymouth, Mass., resident completed six obstacles to finish the first round of the show, The Patriot Ledger reported.
He will next tackle a 10-obstacle course at the semi-finals, held in Kansas City.
Cavanagh said he was a childhood fan of the show’s Japanese version before it came to the U.S. in 2009.
Two years ago he said he and his girlfriend thought of participating in the show. “She’s a personal trainer and I’m a firefighter so we’re both in pretty good shape.”
Cavanagh came in 23rd place of the Kansas City qualifiers.
