NEW KENT, Va. — Virginia State Police say a motor home accident on Interstate 64 in New Kent County has killed one person and injured four others.
State Police responded to the accident at 9:40 a.m. Friday. State Police tell media outlets it appears a tire came off the motor home, causing it to run off the roadway and strike several trees before turning on its side.
The name of the person killed hasn’t been released yet. The injured were taken to VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
The accident forced officials to divert traffic off the westbound lanes of the interstate.
