KATY, Texas — A Texas EMT lost hundreds of dollars in medical equipment and clinical paperwork from his paramedic training when someone broke into his car on Wednesday night.
EMT Keiran Rosas was out getting something to eat at a Katy-area strip mall late at night when he returned to find his front passenger’s seat window broken and his backpack missing, according to Click 2 Houston.
Rosas said inside the backpack was about $600-800 worth of medical equipment, including a stethoscope and trauma shears, as well as paperwork he needs for his studies to become a paramedic.
“Material stuff can be replaced, but those hours of clinical and paperwork I had in there, that unfortunately, I don’t think can be replaced,” Rosas told Click 2 Houston.
Rosas said he reported the theft to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and has spoken to his clinical director to see if anything can be done about the stolen paperwork. Rosas said he hopes the stolen items will be found and returned to him.
