NEW YORK — Dozens of FDNY ambulances were stuck during and following the snowstorm that blanketed New York City this weekend.
The New York Post reported the ambulances didn’t have chains encompassing the whole tires, but only part of them, and some of the ambulances didn’t have chains at all.
At least 31 ambulances had to be towed Saturday.
The Twitter account @NYCEMSwebsite sent dozens of tweets Saturday, Sunday and Monday about ambulances getting stuck in the snow and having to be towed away.
FDNY said it didn’t receive any complaints about the snow chains.
