CHICAGO — An Austin neighborhood man was arrested and charged after he allegedly hit a paramedic in the face with a bottle Tuesday night on the West Side.
Dimitrios Rush, 41, of the 5200 block of West Harrison Street, was charged with aggravated battery to a paramedic, a felony, according to police who said Rush was arrested at 7:15 p.m. on the 340 block of South Pulaski Road.
Police officers were driving by and were flagged down by a male paramedic assigned to Chicago Fire Department ambulance No. 23 who said Rush allegedly hit him in the face with a bottle, according to police.
