COLUMBUS, Ohio — A scene in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 that features Bella (Kristen Stewart) and the violent delivery of her baby has spurred some viewers to suffer photosensitive epilepsy, according to various reports.
Flashing lights and bright colors have caused some moviegoers to experience seizures and lose consciousness — including a Salt Lake City man who was “mumbling and he was blinking on and off with his eyes,” his wife told an ABC affiliate.
Before the release of Breaking Dawn, actors Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and director Bill Condon promised that the birthing scene would be as graphic and dramatic as possible.
“I think, within the confines of a PG-13 rating, . . . we’ve got something that’s pretty powerful,” Condon told Box Office Magazine, saying the scene is like one out of a horror film.
