BERGEN, N.Y. — Barry Miller was part of the foundation of the Genesee County community of Bergen.
When news traveled through the town that Miller has died in a crash on Wednesday morning while performing his duties as the chief of the Bergen Emergency Medical Services, it reverberated throughout the community.
Miller, 50, was a 31-year veteran of the Bergen Volunteer Fire Department. He died in a crash on Bovee Road in the town of Riga a little before 7:30 a.m.
