MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. — An EMT who claimed she was wrongfully terminated after being injured on-duty settled her lawsuit this week.
Ann Marie Camp, 53, injured her back April 9, 2015 when she was lifting a patient onto a stretcher, New Jersey Online reported. She was initially evaluated by a doctor and returned to work five days later at a modified capacity. However, after she returned to medium work capacity, Camp alleged that the township fired her because she couldn’t return to work at full capacity.
Camp’s lawsuit alleged that Middle Township refused to allow her to transfer to another position, stating it “was not open for discussion.”
Camp settled with the township for $47,500.
