In this episode of Inside EMS, co-hosts Chris Cebollero and Kelly Grayson discuss an empowering article out of Massachusetts, where Firefighter-Paramedic Wendy Ashworth of the Acushnet Fire Department made history when she became the first female member of the department to command an incident. The conversation then turns to gender inequality in the fire service and EMS industry.

“It is time for everyone to stand up and stop treating our female professionals with disrespect and just see them as professionals,” Cebollero says.
