NEW ORLEANS — Sandra Bullock sprang to action when an extra on the set of a movie she was shooting collapsed, apparently from the heat.
Bullock took charge by giving the woman water and fanning her in a shady place until an ambulance arrived, TMZ and The Times-Picayune report.
It was on the set of “Our Brand is Crisis,” a political drama featuring co-star Billy Bob Thornton. It focuses on the exporting of American political strategies to South American countries. The movie calls for warm clothing, and heavy coats in the New Orleans sun likely contributed to the cause of the woman’s collapse.
She was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
