SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California state assemblyman’s legislative package hopes to improve working conditions of EMS providers.
Bill AB-263, also known as the EMS Worker’s Bill of Rights, is now moving to the state Senate. It seeks to provide proper rest and meal breaks, as well as implementing a required violent incident log.
“I am proud to bring my 30 years of experience as an EMT and public safety advocacy to the State Capitol. This has helped guide me in putting forward a common sense legislative package that works to level the playing field for everyone, improve public safety and provide relief to the middle class. None of this is possible without the involvement, feedback and support of my constituents,” said Rodriguez on Thursday.
